泥簿, or literally ‘salary theif’, or perhaps goldbricker is an individual who does little to no meaningful work, yet still draws a salary. Its a term I learned while at Toyota.
We now are expected to work 11.5 days every weekday and come in for 8.5 hours for the coming two Saturdays. Why?
There’s a production deadline looming, that is a court-ordered date in which some documents must be produced to the plaintiff’s side, and I believe its a good guess unless the hours are forcibly increased, that deadline won’t be met.
There are number individual on this review who fit the 泥簿 description, who do more socializing than work, and now in a sense they are being rewarded for their lack of professionalism by being to work even longer and still carry on as they do (did the math and the extra time translates to an extra 1k per week), while at least for me, I’d much rather have the time off to enjoy life.
