In going through the reactive process called airline security in Detroit, after presenting my driver’s license and boarding pass, I got a “hmmmmmm’ moment from the TSA person. He wanted to know why with a VA driver’s license was I flying back not to one of the NOVA airports, Reagan or Dulles, but to Baltimore. Had I been rerouted because of weather?
No weather issues, and a ‘yes’ answer would have probably had me pulled aside for further investigation. Nope, my snappy and true answer was, ‘Because its $200 to $300 dollars cheaper to fly out of BWI rather that Reagan or Dulles.
Got arched eyebrows and a ‘hmmm’ out of that and was waved through.
