Fired Then Hired?

In the mail yesterday was a somewhat thick envelop from the Census Bureau bearing a pre-printed address label. Wondering what they wanted with me now, open it to learn I am now formally separated from Census 2010, and am thanked for my good work, blah, blah, blah.

And after some very sporadic e-mails, one arrived the day before yesterday, from a translation firm in Boston, telling me and others that they are now ready to go on a large Japanese to English translation project; irony of ironies, translating documents subpoenaed from my former employer, Large International Automobile Manufacturer #1.  Instead of per word compensation, all are getting $35 and hour, which hell,  is $35 an hour more than I am making at the moment.

A postscript to son's computer woes.  After eliminating the malware, a program called Security Suite, BTW, what happened yesterday?  His laptop is re-infected with the same malware!!!!!  He said he only visited YouTube and other sites and I told him the 'other sites' are the problem; no one waved a wand over his PC to curse it with another dose of malware.  Maybe this time he'll learn????
