Do J-E Translators Actually Have Lives of Their Own?

Open the e-mail program this morning, and among the stuff in the in box,  with a date stamp of 10:30 pm were duplicate mails from a certain translation company in NYC, with yet another  'rush' J-E job on documents my former employer must cough up as part of a court order, with yet another eye-opening, crazy submission deadline -2:00 pm est.

Understand that in another time zone, a J-E translator may have all day to work on the large number of documents in the job, but to me, the jaw-droppingly short deadlines conjure up an imagine of the J -E translator practically  living/sleeping in front of his/her PC (or Mac); or is it just my imagination run wild?
