It'll take a long while for Toyota to recover but they will. Of course, that rate of recovery is exponentially related to America's obstructionist policies. BTW, did you hear that there's no evidence of brake problems in that Prius that smashed into the wall? ****The driver had her foot on the accelerator the entire time!!!***** Appalling the opportunists and cockroaches who scurry out for a piece of the pie, money, publicity or a free ride (no pun intended).

I disagree. Its like a marriage that has hit the rocks, it just won;t be the same afterwards. And yes, there are those who will jump at ANY opportunity for what they see as gain. As I have written earlier, while there is some element of unfairness now (as there was for Ford too), Toyota's problems are much of their own making.

  3. Waterbaby says:

I didn't say Toyota would return to its former state, rather that it would recover. Like a coastal town hit by a tsunami, it is no longer its former self; in time, it stumbles back onto its feet, recovers, emerges changed and moves forward and so it will be for Toyota.

  4. An Ex-Expat says:

That it will but the big difference is now that the emperor in effect, now has no clothes.

  5. Waterbaby says:

yup. and you can bet they're scrambling like mad to give 'im some! A yukata at the very least.
