Metamorphosis

Son has a mock Congress class today and I was told 2 days prior he needed a suit!  I had asked him before if he was going to need one and was assured, no al that was needed was a shirt & tie.  So, off yesterday of a nearby mall (I hate going to malls) and found a cheapo Dockers suit at Sears, which he has on.

He was actually quite hyped about putting it on; got up at for him, the ungodly hour of 05:30 to get ready.  And è¦ªã°ã‹  it may be, but I think he looks smart in the suit.

As to this mock Congress, the students are supposed to debate various mock bills they have drafted.  Son said one bill was written by a girl who wanted farm subsidies for farmers to grow hemp (right), while some dude drafted one which would impose the death penalty on 2nd or 3rd degree murder convictions (!!!!??)  For his part, son's 'bill' was fairly serious; would requite mandatory retesting, including behind the wheel testing of the elderly for driver license renewal.

Interesting too was son telling me that when it came to choose parties, nearly all the girls made themselves Democrats and those who were on the honor roll, school leaders etc., made themselves Republicans.
